Get to know Pastor David
After pastoring for 25 years in a large church in Northern Virginia, I felt God calling me to His “new thing.” My family and I moved to Smith Mountain Lake to serve at PBC in October 2020.
Pam, the love of my life, and I were married in 1988. We have three awesome adult children the Lord has blessed us with–Josh, John, and Suzy. We want our lakefront home to be a place of restoration and blessing to everyone God brings into our lives.
I have undergraduate degrees in Bible and Piano, a Masters of Divinity from Denver Seminary and a Doctorate of Ministry from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
I love people, piano, and playing any kind of board game. My favorite movie is anything that combines action and suspense. My favorite dessert: Let’s just say, I’ve never met a piece of pie or cake I didn’t like! I enjoy meeting people personally, and look forward to getting to know you better over lunch or a cup of coffee/tea.
